Overview¶

This article outlines how to add subtotals to a rectangular range of data in an Excel spreadsheet

Procedure¶

1. Make sure your range of data is rectangular and has a heading for every column 2. Select any cell in your range of data 3. Sort your range by the column you want to group by 4. Data tab > Outline group > Subtotal
