• To lock the Shift key (like CAPS LOCK), double tap the Shift key.
  

• To type an apostrophe,
  1. tap and hold the key for an exclamation point/comma,
  2. wait for an apostrophe button to appear,
  3. slide your finger up to the apostrophe button
     

• To lock the screen orientation in iOS 4.2
  1. double tap the Home button
  2. swipe the bottom of the screen left to right
  3. click the Lock Orientation button, which looks like an arrow in the shape of a circle.
