Changing the Drive Letter for a USB Device

To change the drive letter assigned to a USB device, execute the following procedure in Windows XP.

  1. Right click the My Computer icon and select Manage.
  2. Navigate to Computer Managment (local) > Storage > Disk Management
  3. Right click the drive of interest and select Change Drive Letter and Paths
